About Me:

Hello!  Thank you again for checking out me and my website.  I have spent 10+ years working with diverse populations of children, adults, couples, and families, starting with a long career as a behaviorist working with special needs children through the California Regional Centers. Most recently, I worked as a behavioral specialist helping to cultivate social skills in special needs children with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder, and most of my experience as a behaviorist has focused on children with Autism. As a behaviorist I have had the honor of working with families all over Southern California, including cities such as Camarillo, Santa Clarita, the San Fernando Valley and parts of the Antelope Valley.

I earned my Masters of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University of Northridge in 2014, and prior to that attended the same university for my Bachelor or Arts in Psychology. I have a wealth of experience working in clinical settings, school settings, and providing home-based mental health services, and in addition to my career as a behaviorist, I have over 6 years of experience working in a traditional therapy setting. Just as with my behaviorism, I have had the honor of working with people from all over the San Fernando, Santa Clarita and Antelope Valleys.

As a Life Coach

Life Coaching is great because of the flexibility it offers.  Many of the techniques taught to therapy students are just as useful in Life Coaching as they are elsewhere.  My experience working in a traditional therapy setting has allowed me to help people who were suffering from a wide variety of personal difficulties, including...

  • Depression

  • Anxiety

  • Grief and loss

  • Couples and relational problems

  • Child and family problems

  • Drug and/or alcohol use/abuse/addiction

  • Life transitions and life stage changes

  • Post-traumatic Stress Disorder

...and those are just some of the big ones.  I've had the joy of working with a wide variety of people facing a wide variety of difficulties, and I feel honored to have been a part of their journey as they face the hard knocks that life throws at them.

As an Independent Behavioral Consultant

My 10+ years working as a behaviorist taught me a great deal about working with not only special needs children, but their families as well.  While there are a number of solid, worthwhile services dedicated to servicing special needs children, my experience taught me that there are almost no services designed for the parents and family members of those children.  If you have a special needs child, you know more than anyone the unique challenges you face, not just as a parent, but as a member of your community and as an individual, and it's just a shame that no such support exists for parents.  So I decided to change that.  As your Independent Behavioral Consultant, I will...

  • Provide a safe, understanding space for you to explore your feelings

  • Help you discover and connect with available services in your area, if need be

  • Utilize my own unique "cultural special needs" approach to working with special needs children and their families

  • Engage in occasional child-and-parent family sessions if we determine that this would be beneficial
